Being the core of students’ learning to learn, learning strategy is the importantmeasurement of individual learning ability. One of the basic requirements of qualityeducation is Learning to learn, Learning to live, Learning to Cooperate, Learning toexplore and Learning to Create. As is pointed out in the book Learning To Be writtenby Edgar Fuhr, future illiterates will no longer be the people who do not learn to read,but those who do not know how to study. Students’ quality of learning depends onwhether they are able to learn and apply learning strategy efficiently. Therefore,strengthen the learning and guidance of learning strategy in the secondary school yearsis not only beneficial to improving students’ academic record, but also to developingtheir learning capacity, which contributes to laying a good foundation for students’lifelong learning.Current researches centered upon learning strategy and learning strategy teachinghave become the frontiers and hot issues of educational teaching research; researchesof learning strategies on particular subject associated with a certain subject isbecoming thekey point of applied research of learning strategy. Taking senior politics as the entrypoint and exploiting theoretical research of learning strategy teaching and currentinvestigation of learning strategy application in senior politics, this research proposescountermeasuresfrom the aspects of construction of learning strategies, teaching approaches andteaching methods etc. It attempts to enhance teachers’ awareness of strategy teachingthrough studying strategy teaching guidance, to improve students’ awareness andcapacity of applying strategy study and to increase teaching efficiency of seniorpolitics.The whole thesis consists of five parts.Part One introduces the reason and the significance of the research as well as thethesis skeleton.Part Two outlines the learning strategies home and abroad and the research status of strategy teaching. It also deals with the status of students’ actuality of application oflearning strategy and the current situation of strategy teaching.Part Three systematically constructs the learning strategy of senior politics (keylearning strategy).Part Four elaborates the learning strategy teaching of senior politics, includingteaching requirements, teaching contents, teaching process and teaching approaches.Part Five is the conclusion of the thesis, which points out the limitation of theresearch and forecasts the development direction of the research.
