Autonomous learning is one of the three learning strategies greatly advocated in Chinese basic courses reform and is also an important subject that is being researched in today's education research. The key point of reform of basic courses is to change students'learning strategies effectively. Learning process should be a process in which learners develop themselves actively and promote themselves independently. School should be a place where both students and teachers live happily and develop together. The forming and development of the ability of learning autonomously depends mainly on the teachers'proper guidance. This thesis is based on the theory of autonomous learning and set in the reform of new politics teaching in senior high school. The aim of the thesis is to serve the students. The author thoroughly analyses the factors that affect students'autonomous learning and try to seek some effective strategies to help students have the ability to learn autonomously and form a good habit of learning autonomously.The thesis is based on the action research that the author has carried on in the teaching practice for two years. The author offers strategy guidance to students in the following aspects: creating a good educational & cultural environment to help students learn independently; training student's self-direction and feedback learning skills; developing a teaching model where students can explore knowledge autonomously to train students'self- control ability and the capacity of arranging time scientifically. Under the systematic guidance of teachers, students will convert their passive learning ways, improve their autonomous learning ability and their learning quality. This guidance will promote students'all-around qualities, what's more, it will provide a base for students'life-long development as well.Through two- year action research on autonomous learning strategy training, the author solves some problems and puzzles about how to offer students some effective guidance in politics teaching practice. The author is ready to offer some reference for other workmates.
