This paper is based on the background of the tujia and miao autonomous countyof xiushan’s education, which makes a research on the current situation of Chinesestudy of the region’s primary and secondary school. This article is mainly throughquestionnaires, case studies, interviews and other methods to investigate the reality ofthe basic education of minority languages in Xiushan County, to understand theproblems of the current language education, to analyze the actual situation in the areaof language teaching backward reason, and to put forward some suggestions forimprovement of the county’s language education and even basic education.The main content and the conclusion of this paper are:The first part briefly introduces the cause of the topic, the research value andthe research path thought.The second part: at present, what are the exactly situations about the languageteaching and students’ Chinese study in xiushan county. The author respectivelydesigned two questionnaires for teachers and students. The teacher’s questionnairebasically includes the following three aspects: first, It is about the school teacher’s basicsituation,. second, it’s a about the teachers’ language teaching situation. third, theteachers for the present in the minority areas of Chinese teaching of zhenhai. Thestudent’s questionnaire contains three aspects: first of all, students’ language learningsituation; secondly, teachers’ teaching assessment; thirdly, students’ self-assessment.These questionnaires can comprehensively reflect the specific conditions of the Tujiaand Miao inhabited area of language teaching and also find the following questions:first, the negative impact of the entrance examination second, limitations of Chineseteachers’ knowledge and overloaded work capacity; again, the lack of languageresources limits the students’ ability, which finally leads to the bad effect.The third part: through introducing the importance of the fundamentaleducation of Chinese subject in the xiushan tujia and miao autonomous county, theimportance of basic education, especially of Chinese subject, I will mainly analyzeseveral aspects where the reasons and problems of chinese education in this area liesin. Based on such reasons and problems, I will reflect the current Chinese education inthe area. The attention of government paid to fundamental education is limited andsuperficial. Especially for the Chinese subject which orients the life long developmentof students, they do not give the weight it equals. Because regions inhabited by ethnic groups are isolated, many graduate students are unwilling to work in and try their bestto flee from. So teachers in the region lack ambition, the sense of competition, andlifelong learning consciousness. The situation being such, how to strengthen thestudents’ Chinese education and even humanistic quality? The teacher killed student’sdrive for development, leading to the poor development of human resources. Besides,the concept that study is useless is extremely prevailing in the region. Parents did notpay much attention to children’s education. Thus, the teaching resources will not befully used. These are the key reasons why we lag behind, for which I will put up withsome solutions latter. The countermeasures are from two aspects: for one thing, thepolicy of developing fundamental education of Chinese in the whole background ofXiuShan, where the attention should be indeed paid by the authorities and it should betreated as a fundamental subject. For another, I will deal with the policy for improvingteaching efficiency to enhance the moral senses and professional ability of the teacher.To conclude, Chinese subject, as a important communicating skill and a subjectcombining both skills and culture, plays an significant role in the education of regionsinhabited by ethnic groups. Hence, we should not copy the mode of other areas, butimprove the practicing ability based on our own features, laying the foundation of thestudents’ comprehensive ability and life long development.
