The Research On Community Care Of The Empty Nest Elderly From Social Work Angle

With the rising number of population in our country, elderly population and empty nest is becoming an inevitable trend in the development of society, the old people’s pension problems has become a pressing issue for China’s development. However, due to the change of the structure of family, the traditional family pension and Institution endowment already can not adapt to the present development situation. The community has become the carrier of a variety of services. In such conditions, the position of community care in endowment is becoming more and more important. The main content is illuminated in the following six five chapters:In the first chapter, the author illustrates the background and significance of this research, reviews the process of the endowment development and the method of British community care development. Besides, the main research method and key words are definedIn the second chapter, basing on the investigation statistics of Huazhong university of science and technology, the author analysis the daily life care situation of empty nest elderly, and estimates the demand and supply of them. The purpose is to reveal the main problems of the city empty nest old people and community care in China.The third chapter points out the problems of China’s community care a present, mainly from three angles to discussed. The community development is not mature, the intervention of non-governmental organizations is shortage, lack of volunteer team and professional talents also hinder the development of the community care.The fourth chapter does the feasibility analysis mainly from three aspects:the economic, cultural, and the needs of elderly.In the fifth chapter, the author put forward the development strategy of community care from the social work angle. Respectively from strengths perspective, empowerment theory and social support network to analysis. Then draw three suggestions that strengthen social work method of usage, expand the social work project, and integrate resources in the community care. The last chapter is mainly to summary and reflection, through the summary of the article, and then points out the limitations of the study and the future research direction which we should pay attention to.
