The Research Of Home Care Service Among Empty Nesters In Urban Communities

With the development of social economy, population aging phenomenon is becoming prominent, and empty nesters and empty nesters is gradually increasing at the same time. The smaller of family size, the core of family structure, as well as the shock of traditional culture lead to the empty nesters face significant practical challenges.How to provide good conditions for the aged is the important issues for the government and academia.It is important for us to understand the basic living of the city empty-nesters, and analyze factors of impact on empty-nesters improved life quality, explore how to make the older persons continue to fully enjoy the social care before the socio-economic conditions getting old without rich, raise the form of old-age pension not only adapt to China’s national conditions but also satisfy empty nesters’needs. The empty nesters pension issues is a challenge for China’s social security system improvement and the development of social work theory, and it is important for the construction of harmonious society.First, this paper to sort out the existing Chinese and foreign research on empty nest elderly home care, including empty nesters definition,the current situation of empty-nesters, pension measures, community home-based care advantages and disadvantages, etc. Second, this paper take example of Huangshan City, Anhui Province, via the questionnaire to collect information, and analyze the empty nesters research current situation and reasons from the state of the economy, life care, spiritual comfort to the three aspects. Above this,we put forward that social work intervention have the space of empty-nesters community home care service,from the level of the individual, community and national. And we design the program of intervention based on research findings, this program include proposed intervention goals and service needs analysis, program design, program estimates. At last, this paper emphasize the role of empowerment theory of the community home-based care services, and put forward the prospects of urban empty nester community home-based care business development direction.This paper hold the opinion that empty-nesters choose home-based care is the result of effect of objective and subjective factors. The majority of urban empty nesters are able to maintain economic independence, the main body of life care is based on their mate. Relative to the economic pressure, empty nesters need more daily care and spiritual comfort. Therefore,we regard the community home-based care as the most appropriate form of pension, and social work intervention in community home-based care can help empty nesters get better care by take advantage of the social work professional concepts and methods especially the empowerment theory perspective.The community home-based care are able to make the empty nesters integrate into the community, reduce their loneliness and boredom, To establish a sense of belonging to the community. At the same time, we think the development of urban empty-nesters community home-based care can not be separated from government-led forces and construction of the team of professional social workers.
