Teaching has two major functions: the transmission of knowledge and the training ofthinking. Inheritance is to inherit wealth of knowledge while thinking is to develop ourselves.Physics is a basic natural science, whose development has promoted the progress of societyand changed people’s way of life. The achievements of the study in the process of formationof thinking are another greater wealth to the community, which has penetrated various fields, changing and expanding human thinking way. Every great advance in physics is a wonderfulladder which leads to the progress of human thinking. What is more important than knowledge itself is how we manage to combine the trainingof thinking with the teaching of physics. We will allow students to explore the laws ofphysics and learn to observe and think like physicists. Here is the strategy to explore thetraining of thinking from the perspective of practice. The research includes four parts, mainlyusing the literature method and experimental method. The introduction part discusses thethinking methods and teaching situations contained in the high school physics. The part aboutthe theory discusses whether we are able to develop thinking abilities and how and putsforward the teaching idea: Take the question, the training of thinking, as the core driving intothe academic system. Empirical study collects data through teaching experiments, usingscientific reasoning ability test, knowledge level and class implant survey. Combining thequalitative analysis with the quantitative analysis about data indicates that the experimenthelps develop students’ thinking. Finally the experiment is summarized by reflection. It ispointed out that " problem solving" is not only a kind of teaching method; it should also beour teaching contents in order to make the students learn to ask questions.
