In September2011,"1+5" Cooperative Learning Teaching Mode was carriedout in the writers’ school to promote the students’ overall development."1" refers tothe process of students’ preparing for the new lesson according to the study plan."5"refers to the five important procedures of classroom teaching. They are as follows:teachers’ explanation, students’ exploration and discussion, their demonstrations ofthe exploration results, comments and questions as well as evaluation and summary.To test the teaching effect of the teaching model, an experimental research was carriedout in the present research.The study attempts to investigate the results of "1+5" Cooperative LearningTeaching Mode helping the students achieve the three dimensional objectives,including the effect on students’academic achievements, the effect of their abilities ofinquiry study and autonomous study, the effect on students’ interest in physicslearning and the effect on their attitudes towards science as well as values. In theexperiment, class16was chosen as the experimental class, and class15as thecontrolled class."1+5" Cooperative Learning Teaching Mode was carried out in theexperimental class while the traditional teaching mode was still adopted in thecontrolled class. Both questionnaires and an interview were employed in the processof investigation. In addition, pre-test and post-test were carried out to test the effect of"1+5" Cooperative Learning Teaching Mode on students’ academic achievements.Questionnaires about the process and ways, attitudes and emotions, and values werealso designed as the research instruments.Based on the experimental results and analysis, it is confirmed that "1+5"Cooperative Learning Teaching Model can promote students to understand and masterknowledge and skills, thus effectively improving their academic achievements.Meanwhile, It can cultivate students self-study ability, science exploration ability andtheir cooperation ability. Finally, it is beneficial for students to form scientificattitudes and correct values.
