The educational technology management is an important part of educationaltechnology. Especially for instructional design project, effective projectmanagement can save resource and time, improve the quality of educationalproducts.This research takes one instructional design project of the information companythat the thesis author once worked in as the research subject and it aims to answer thefollowing questions: What was the flow of this project? How was the management ofthe project? What problems does it have? What are the factors that caused theseproblems? How to improve the management of this project? The research adoptsmany research methods such as literature research, investigation, observation andinterview to gather information. Then thesis author sets project objectives, designevaluation scale and questionnaire to analyze the problems and find the reasons.First of all, this paper introduced some research studies on management ofinstructional design project at home and abroad, including Michael Jill’s managementmodel of instructional design project. The author found that there were not any casestudies on the management of instructional design project. Chapter three introducedthe procedure of instructional design and management model of some company. Inchapter four, the author set the evaluation objectives according to the evaluationmethods of project management, and also designed the project evaluationquestionnaire. Data of the questionnaire were collected and analyzed. By analyzingthe data, the author found that the project of the company had some problems, such asproject delaying, and cost increasing, etc. The factors resulted in such problems werethat there was no precise pre-analysis and the project members did not have adequateprofessional knowledge and skills.In the last part, the thesis author put forward some suggestions to improve theproject management. There should be instructional analysis before the very start ofthe project and the project members should make the project objectives with clients. The author wished these suggestions could also be adopted in some other instructionalproject.
