The research on information technology and curriculum integration has become an important part of classroom-teaching reform in China nowadays. In this research, the integrated teaching model of information technology and senior Chinese reading is discussed. The integrated teaching model conforms to the thoughts of contemporary education and the concepts of new curriculum and that is the teaching model of "automatic-interactive" prose reading, the purpose of which is to reform the traditional classroom teaching, expecting to provide operational guidance for the practice of the integration of the current information technology and the teaching of senior Chinese prose reading.This study employs the approaches of literature, questionnaires, interviews and case analysis.The integrated teaching model of "automatic-interactive" prose reading includes three stages:preparation, interactivity and innovation. Through the whole learning process, students carry out inquiry learning independently and interactively in an equal, democratic and harmonious atmosphere, cultivating their minds and gaining aesthetic pleasure. It fully mobilizes the enthusiasm and creativity of the students, reflects the main status of students as well as trains students’ability of independent reading, cooperation, communication, innovation and that of information technology. The whole activity is carried out under the guidance of the teacher, so the function and status of the teacher can never be ignored.The research and practice of the teaching of the "automatic-interactive" prose reading increases teachers’ awareness of application ability of information technology in language-reading teaching, arouses teachers’exploration and interest in practical research into information technology and curriculum integration, which has practical significance in solving the problems in current Chinese-prose-reading teaching.
