Along with the arrival of information age as well as the development of the educational reform in China,"conformity between the information technology and the curriculum", this recent subject, has obtained full implementation and development in the high school English classroom. Particularly in recent years, the country has made more and more weak schools and classes get close to multimedia, paying more attention to the investment on teaching infrastructural facilities. What’s more, the majority of the teachers of English in weak schools can use some basic information technology to effectively assist teaching practice. But at the same time, for any curriculum reform and practice of the new curriculum idea, each of us teachers is clear that the first thing we should consider is the efficiency in Classroom instruction. Thus, when carrying out the "conformity between the information technology and the curriculum", most of the teachers from weak school must fully consider how the application information technology does reform the existing teaching methods, the course content and the teaching ideas by reasonably making use of information technology. Then we can really expand and activate the teaching materials by achieving the application of information technology. And therefore, we can enlarge the information content, make students play the main role in class, raise students’ learning capability, helps students to construct own knowledge system meaningfully.The conformity between the information technology and the discipline curriculum must first be based on the curriculum but not the information technology. And we should also treat the information technology as a tool for conformity in a natural way. This article mainly makes use of two kinds of media, the questionnaire survey and class example, to study the present situation where the multimedia technology is being used in the weak high school English classroom. From the study, the article will sum up several typical and common questions in multimedia classes. Then take the questions as the breach, take the different types of English lesson as the carrier, and treat the multimedia technology as the master line to elaborate separately on how weak high school English classroom should utilize the information technology reasonably, thus effectively realizing the auxiliary function of applying information technology to English teaching.
