Research On The Education Of Independent College Students Information Quality

The modern society is an information-oriented society, materials, energy, andinformation are the three pillars of the contemporary society. Generation of informationnetwork and its growing impact on the cultural life of the world, as well as the people’s wayof life and ideas. Since the concept of "information literacy" in1974by the United StatesInformation Industry Association Chairman Paul Zurkowski out,"information literacy" isattracting the attention of the world education sector, and gradually become an importantindicator of the overall quality of the evaluation of talent.Independent college have a rapid rise in recent years as a force in the field of highereducation，rendering the momentum of rapid development, it has made an importantcontribution to the further popularization of higher education in China. But the developmentof independent colleges in our country is still in the new thing, in response to therequirements of the information society information literacy talent when there are still a lot ofproblems. Therefore, this article is a case study of the information literacy education in theSouth China Institute Software Engineer of Guangzhou University and propose appropriatemeasures.This article has mainly taken the literature and empirical surveys and other researchmethods to sort out the analysis on the basis of the research literature, the author conducted aquestionnaire survey and interviews of the South China Institute Software Engineer ofGuangzhou University’s students,teachers, teaching management personnel. On this basis,the author analyzes the South China Institute Software Engineer of Guangzhou University’sstudents’ information awareness, information capacity, and information moral situation andpointed out the main problems and causes in the information literacy education in the college.In this base, the author point out how to strengthen the management of the independentinstitute information literacy education, that is: establish the correct educational philosophy,emphasis on information literacy education; culture the autonomous learning and lifelonglearning ability; Improve the information literacy education curriculum system; promoteteachers consciously to improve their information literacy; strengthen the digital campus construction to create the excellent IT applications and learning environment;strengthen theconstruction of information ethics.
