Today, raising the level of University Teachers is an important way to enhance the teaching quality of higher education, which has been the people’s recognition. The study of teachers’ professional development is gradually increasing. As an important part of higer education, higher vocational education should strengthen their own professional development of teachers to improve their standard of teaching and educational status.The object of this study is the professional development of vocational teachers. Collect data and analysis through a variety of ways, including books, journals, and network. With previous research results and experience to define the related concepts of vocational teachers’ professional development. Discuss the theoretical basis of their research and vocational teachers’ professional development sources, stage and objectives. Analyze it through field observations and student interviews, and do reflections in order to working out the corresponding solutions. Then expect that it can arouse the attention and exploration of the professional development of teachers of Higher Vocational Colleges, improve the level of training of professional and technical personnel, reflect some specific problems and play a substantial role in future research.In the preamble it mainly described the major literature review, research ideas and research method. In addition to the conclusions and discussion section, the thesis contains four parts.The first part, sort out the relevant research literature such as making the general introduction of studies abroad and making the domestic research divided into theoretical studies and problems and countermeasures. And through the literature of vocational school teachers analyze recent research and research characteristics.The second part, interpret and define the related concepts of teacher professionalism, teacher professional development. Analyzed the meaning of the professional development of teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges in China. Elaborate self-understanding of stage of development and development goals, which provides the theoretical basis for the discussion that followed. The third part describes the results of site visits. Analysis of the main case and the problem of teachers’ professional development in vocational colleges. Find that vocational high school teachers in the level of professional is a mixed phenomenon, which is Lack of uniform training and assessment and moral education needs to be improved.The last part, reference to the problems reflected in the survey and propose solutions strategy. Colleges and universities should make the management system of appointment, training and evaluation system. Keep abreast of students’feedback and develop the role of teachers’ professional team.
