Google Earth (GE) is Google company issued in2005a map search software, and the use of advanced3D map location technology, through the synthesis of3D satellite photographs, users can from any Angle observation of the details. Along with the national curriculum reform to run and the new curriculum standard to carry out, of course the focus from students proficient knowledge and technology, to able to apply knowledge and technology to solve the actual problem. GE as one of the products of the geographic information science, can possibly rich knowledge of Geography intuitively demonstrated, the presentation of the secondary school students not only conforms to the intellectual level, and help students to understand and master Geography knowledge. In addition, users can also through a second development of GE, make teachers in Geographical education according to the needs of the classroom teaching can be specific teaching design becomes possible, and also in the high school Geography teaching geographical teachers come to dominate the good assistant.In this paper based on the study of literature, made clear the research objective, and research contents, the research idea and method, and the research significance. GE to in high school in the teaching of Geography course application value and the teaching design, and its application value is mainly manifested on the map enhance teaching of interactivity, attract students’learning interest and training students’geographical location and space concept, increase the openness of the Geography teaching in four aspects. Geography class teaching based on GE environment create mainly includes the directory creation, production landmark, add folder path and polygon, add image overlay layer and photos, etc. The teaching design research mainly including course target, content analysis and how to blend in GE geography teaching.In empirical research, design based on the empirical research framework of GE, combined with high school Geography course, through research materials selected, determine the research object, and implement the process and then collect sort out and statistical data, and concludes that the research, the result shows that for students grades and GE geographical related Geography ability influence.
