| China has developed with a high speed in politics, economyand culture since the Reform and Opening up. The continuousgrowth of the real GDP per capita indicates that the gap betweenChina and the developed countries becomes narrow and narrow.While the problems of large population still is the restrictionof social development in China. As one of the factors, theincomplete social service gives great burdens to bothgovernment and society, especially the deficient servicesprovided to vulnerable groups, such as empty-nesters. To givepossible solutions to these problems above, this articlestudied on the Chinese social service by researching on theempty-nesters.There are six chapters of this research article asfollowing: Chapter1introduces the reason and significanceof the application of reciprocal working group to urban empty-nesters. Secondly, the importance of supporting the oldis discussed by comparing different studies on the lack of itin Chapter2. And Chapter3is about the necessity of such kindof application and some methods of how to apply reciprocalworking group into practice. Then in Chapter4, how the projectis made and how it is applied are described, as well as theanalysis of problems and solutions during the whole procedureof applying. Chapter5is a summary part of this research whichincludes the assessments, conclusions, limitations andcorrections of the activities taken by the reciprocal workinggroup. Finally, Chapter6is an explanation of the advantagesand applicability of the application of the reciprocal workinggroup to target group.The main feature of this article is focusing on the targetgroup—the empty-nesters—in certain area through dataanalysis, and taking advantage of the most befitting applyingmethod in social workings. Deep researches and discussions areprovided in aspects of social working method usages, policystudies, activity broadcasts, social workers’ trainings andrules makings within group. On the other hand, some theoretical and experiential disadvantages are given. Meanwhile, it isfound that reciprocal working group fits the needs of the oldwell and has great development potential. |
