Research On The Relationship Of Social Support, Locus Of Control And Career Decision-making Self-efficacy

Career is not only means of personal livelihood but only an important way forindividuals to achieve self-worth, so career choice will be a important decision whichaffects the person’s life, the research shows that career decision-making self-efficacyhas played a pivotal role in the process of career choice,career decision-makingself-efficacy refers to self-assessment or confidence of policy makers for thenecessary ability of completing all the tasks by their own during the process of careerdecision-making.The purpose of this study is to understand the current situation ofcollege students’career decision-making self-efficacy and make a research onrelationship of social support,locus of control in psychology and careerdecision-making self-efficacy,and further improves and expands the specific factorsaffecting the career decision-making self-efficacy, and has some practical significancefor guidance departments of college career in guiding students’employment,andprovides an effective way to improve career decision-making self-efficacy for collegestudents.The conclusions of this study are as follows:1.College students’ career decision-making self-efficacy is overall in the mediumto high level, the level of individual difference is larger.2.College students’ career decision-making self-efficacy is significant differencein gender and profession; and no significant difference in grade.3.The social support of college students is significant difference in profession,and no significant difference in gender and grade.4.Between college students’ career decision-making self-efficacy and socialsupport, other than Correlations among the objective dimensions of social support,self-evaluation of career decision-making self-efficacy, problem solving dimensiondoes not reach significant, the correlation between the rest of the total score andvarious dimension score is very significant.5.The correlation between college students’ career decision-making self-efficacyand locus of control in psychology is extremely significant, the score of career decision-making self-efficacy and the various dimensions and internality is significantpositive correlation, while with powerful others, opportunities dimension is asignificant negative correlation.6.Locus of control in psychology plays the role of partial intermediary betweensocial support and career decision-making self-efficacy.
