The job search behavior has gradually become an important issue of study in the westernhuman resources management and organizational behavior. Especially for students who will setfoot on society and start their new life, the job search behavior has more special and importantmeaning. It means the independent starting of their life, means that they are going to make duecontribution for the society and fulfillment self-worth. So the study of the job-search behavior isvery important for the graduating students.The dissertation probed into the graduating graduates’ job-search behavior and relatedproblems. Literature review and survey were used in the research. Some standard researchmethods, such as literature review, interview and survey were used in the research. It mainlyincluded three parts:(1) the study of the contents and structure of job search behavior.(2) thestudy of job behavior’s demographic variables.(3) the study of mechanism about social support,career decision-making self-efficacy and job search behavior. The methods such as exploratoryfactor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were also appliedfor data analysis.530graduating students from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou and soon were surveyed. The main conclusions were as the following:First, the content of the job-search behavior of graduating students consisted of fourfactors, which were job preparation, attitude adjustment, using of network and cost of job-search.The reliability and validity of job-search behavior questionnaire were highly enough.Second, there were no significant differences between differences of demographicvariables.Third, career decision-making self-efficacy partly mediated the relationship betweensocial support and job-search behavior.
