This dissertation mainly discussed many new problems arising in China because of thereform and social transformation and rapid technological development. These newcontradictions resulted in disharmony, uncivilized phenomenon. The development ofcommunication technology provides a convenience for the proliferation of this adverseinformation. High school students, which are a group with unsteady ideological and moralvalues, are vulnerable to be impacted of social evils. Besides, the reform of moral educationin secondary schools is not enough and the style is too rigid. The levels of development arevery uneven around China. So the phenomenon is worried by all people. Based on moraleducation connotations and functions, especially secondary school moral education content,the dissertation discussed the important role of moral education in secondary education, andanalyzed the problems in current middle school moral education and the reasons. This paperprovides some suggestions for how to improve the effectiveness moral education in secondaryschool.This dissertation is divided into three sections:The first section is to sort the basic theoretical issues of moral education. Firstly, theconnotation of moral education is summarized and defined, which is extended to the middleschool moral education further understanding and interpretation. Secondly, the dissertationclarified two essential elements of a moral education, which includes the target of moraleducation and main body of moral education. Finally, it summarizes the current middle schoolmoral education content in four aspects.The second section analyzed the problems and the reasons for the current school moraleducation. Firstly, the problems of school moral education are analyzed from four aspects.Secondly, the reasons of these problems are analyzed from five aspects: teachers, studentsthemselves, families, the awareness in school as well as the influence of social environment.All these factors increase the difficulty of moral education in middle school.Based on the analysis of the second part, the third section provides some suggestionsagainst the problems. Firstly, the consciousness of the students themselves needs to be enlightened. Second is to update the concept of teachers, to pay attentions to education andimprove the quality of teaching. Third is to get parents’ emphasis on moral education.Fourthly schools should actively adopt various measures to put the moral education intoeffects. Fifthly, we need create a good social atmosphere in all directions for the middleschool moral education. This dissertation put forward to improve the current situation ofmoral education mainly from the students, teachers, families, schools and society in fiverespects.
