The Application Of Teaching Model Of Initiative Learning In Biology Teaching

Initiative learning, which is applied widely in class teaching, is one model of class teaching. In teaching activity, it gives students time, learning goals, learning contents and learning methods, according to the cognitive features, rate of advance and the level of mastering relative knowledge, to make them have a initiative learning. It's significant to foster and promote the ability of their learning. Since 2003. We have learnt from YangSi Middle School in which they take such a model: learning first, teaching second and training only in that lesson. After that, we take a research in biology, teaching.The author of this paper investigated 8-14classes about 492 students in Grade One, with writing question paper and making research to find ollt, the problems and save the answers, which directs to teachers and students in three different stages of class. We apply relative theories, such as: pedagogy, psychology, philosophy and son on, to cultivate the abilities of initiative learning and lunch some activities: stimulating the motive of learning, learning teaching material and checking by them selves, explanation, practicing and generalization. This investigation is also focusing the changes: learning pattern, abilities of thinking and practicing and the idea of creativity to explore a new way of initiative learning, teaching strategy and assessment of teaching. That may be a good example for the reform of new curriculum.The result demonstrates that there are a lot of changes in the activities learning the method of learning and the way of teaching. We also find that improvement in the idea of initiative learning and self-management becomes more obviously. Students strengthen their abilities in proactive and creative. Meanwhile, we analyze the effect of carrying out this model and look for the measure to improvement.
