The richest and the most clever finest content of teaching Chinese reading in high school is modern literature, its fundamental purpose of teaching is to develop students’ reading ability, imagination and the ability to create, develop students’ aesthetic awareness and aesthetic taste, to promote students’ emotional richness and development, to build the ideal personality of the students. Since the new curriculum reform, the majority of teachers in the teaching of modern literary works have been in the pursuit of combination of knowledge and skills, process and methods, emotional attitude and values, which has changed the traditional "knowledge" based classroom from a rigid model of concern with the knowledge and skills training only and neglect of humane care. But in this process, some problems such as vacuous teaching objectives, content generalization, loss of teachers main body position, teaching process formalization were appeared, which is largely due to the lack of professionalism, arbitrariness and blind obedience of teachers,lack of professional judgment and reflection for their own instructional design, process and evaluation. Therefore, Instructional design in a systemic and scientific way is very necessary in the teaching of modern literary works. On the one hand, it can link the systemic theoretical knowledge and method of education and teaching with the reality of educational practice, making the teaching of modern literary works more scientifically, so as to enhance the Literature Teaching efficiency. On the other hand, it embodies the cultural quality, professional knowledge and teaching ability of language teachers, which plays an important role in promoting the professional development of language teachers.The studies suggest that instructional design of modern literary works in high school should be the study of the psychological mechanisms of high school students when they read literary works as the logical start point, the fundamental literary theory such as literary appreciation and literary acceptance, related theory about the systematic instructional design as the basis, on the basis of further reading of the text, teachers should design in advance the whole procedure of the teaching of modern literary works as well as the details and overall structure,which is to aim at the particular subjects and textbooks. An teaching frameworks containing all the elements, such as, textbooks,analysis of students’ learning, teaching objective and contents, teaching procedure,evaluation of teaching and the choice of multimedia should be established.On the other hand, due to the rich literary works and the different personality of the students, it makes every teaching of modern literary works "a soul adventure in masterpieces ", which makes it difficult to decide the instructional design of modern literature and form a set of fixed mode of imitation learning. Teachers should follow the integrity, raw nature, flexibility and aesthetic principles of the instructional design, and make the most of the initiative and creativity to make the instructional design of modern literature implement more effective and ttuly achieve the purpose of literary education.Finally, base on years of front-line teaching experience, this study provides a typical case of some high school instructional design of modern literary works to explore and analysis, try to come back to the property of literary aesthetics’ teach on the basis of students’ learning ability, communicate on equal terms, the focus on the main line of the overall sentiment,explore diverse text value, and many other works of modern literature to explore the high school to design effective strategies at all levels in high school...
