Literary works are artistic creations based on condensing and reflecting social life,many literary works have certain historical value,therefore,literary works are important tools and resources for history teaching.Through the guidance of teachers,students can travel through time and space,experiencing the grandeur of history.With the vivid language of literary works,it is easier to stimulate students’ interest,enthusiasm for learning,further strengthen students’ understanding of historical events,deepen students’ historical understanding,and educate students emotionally.In light of the historical value as well as the problems that literary works hold in history teaching: teachers’ selection of literary works was single,improper handling,and misuse,etc.This article proposes strategies to the problems when using literary works in the current history teaching.Firstly,in terms of the selection of literary works for history teaching,teachers should fully consider the current teaching materials,student situation and teaching situation and choose the literary works in a wider range,summarize the literary works commonly used in teaching,follow the principles of authenticity and typicality to make selections.Secondly,in terms of the use of literary works for history teaching,teachers should make proper use of literary works,such as grasping from the three aspects of pedagogical processing,historical expression and targeted use.Pedagogical processing includes that teachers should use literary works flexibly under the premise of meeting the teaching goals,and quoted literary fragments should be short and concise and equipped with gradient questions,thereby improving classroom efficiency and inspiring students’ thinking;historical expression refers to different degrees of authenticity Literary works should be expressed differently.If literary works are precious historical materials,teachers can directly quote them,if not,they can only use them indirectly,that is,use fragments to illustrate historical issues and relay story plots to stimulate students’ interest;targeted use refers to literary works cannot be directly equated with historical data,so it should be clear that they should not be used in every teaching stage.Instead,literary works are more effective in solving certain teaching difficulties,such as cognitive difficulties,emotional experience difficulties,practical application difficulties,etc.
