The Research Of Vocational High School Students’ Political Participation

College students’ political participation is an important part of our citizens’ politicalparticipation, the political participation level plays a great role to the promotion of civicconsciousness, the development of socialist democratic politics and building a socialistharmonious society. Studying the contemporary vocational college students’ politicalparticipation situation, discussing the problems causing the present situation and deeplyanalyzing of the main factors affecting political participation, seeking the basiccountermeasure of education and guide, and promoting the development of students’ politicalparticipation are the important content of Ideological and political work of the highervocational college, and also the important task of maintaining the social stability andpromoting the political development. In this paper, based on the Marxism theory and thespirit of file of the Party Central Committee on strengthening the ideological and politicaleducation, comprehensively use of the theoretical knowledge of the ideological and politicaleducation, political science, sociology, psychology and other subjects, discuss on the issue ofpolitical participation of contemporary vocational college students deeply.In the introduction, the raise, meanings, related research status, basic ideas, researchmethods, main research contents and views of the study are stated. The main body of thepaper is divided into4sections.Part1: The connotation of political participation of vocational students is defined.College students’ political participation is the behavior of the college students participatingpolitical activities and influencing political decision-making through various legal means andchannels. Then the importance of political participation is elaborated from beingadvantageous to the promoting the college students’ political socialization, to improving theof the college students’ political quality, to advancing the democratic political construction ofour country, to the formation of a stable political environment, and to inheritance,development and innovation of social and political culture etc..Part2: In this study college students’ political participation status in several colleges ofHebei province was investigated by typical investigation and questionnaire investigation ways. In the investigation, a total of500copies of questionnaire were distributed,468validquestionnaires were recovered. Combined with the statistical findings, the paper has deeplyanalyzed the research status of the political participation of students in vocational colleges,and the motivation of students’ political participation, the main way and the focus of concernare mainly related.Part3: The current problems in college students’ political participation which referred tothe fuzzy political cognition, political participation of the utilitarian, political participation offaith, lack of motivation, indifference of political participation, the disorder of the network ofpolitical participation are discussed. Besides, this chapter also analyzed the influence factorsof vocational college students of political participation from both subjective and objectiveaspects.Part4: Emphasize the countermeasures and suggestions to perfect vocational students’participation. Vocational colleges should do more efforts on the following aspects,strengthening the ideological and political education to improve the students’ consciousnessand level of political participation, creating a good campus cultural environment which caneffectively guide the students’ political participation behavior, strengthening the managementof network participation to help the students orderly participate in politics, playing the role ofcommunity organizations actively and cultivating the higher vocational students’ citizenconsciousness, and widening participation channels and providing more way for the students’political participation. Then the correct political concept of vocational students will beformed ultimately, and useful, healthy, active socialist builders and successors will bedeveloped.Compared with the past, contemporary young college studentspolitical participation, hasmore calm and rational, but less enthusiasm and positive.especially in the vocational highschool students, more pragmatic,self even indifference. They are supposed to be the mostactive and the most lively, but also the future and hope of socialist construction, The positiveattitude appears on them in political participation is worthy of reflection. Vocational collegesshould do more efforts to strengthen ideological and political education, to create a goodcampus cultural environment, and strengthen the network involved in themanagement, andactively play the role of community organizations, and expand political participation channels, and ultimately to facilitate the correct political concept of vocational students formation,develop a useful, healthy, active socialist builders and successors.
