Cooperation is an important driving force of the survival and development of human society, and it also has a very important role in chemistry study. As a new mode of teaching, cooperative study has been pleasantly accepted by majority of junior high school teachers and students. When facing the new curriculum reform and the use of new teaching materials, teachers are no longer playing the role of transmitting wisdom, imparting knowledge and resolving doubts. Instead, teachers are evolved into learning organizer and guide, and even partners of students in study. At the same time, information technology also provides great help for chemistry teaching. In teaching practice, the author found that the effect of cooperative study is very disappointing. Students’learning abilities were not really improved from cooperation. The main reason for this result is that teachers generally can not use information technology to solve problems during cooperative study. Neither can they choose appropriate methods based on the contents and characteristics of the teaching. Some students are passive during study, lack of clear objectives and the force of cooperation, which leads to greatly reduced study interest, thus affecting the interest in learning. This paper is to solve the problem that better cooperative study methods and application of methods can not be selected for chemistry teaching content with the aid of information technology. Instructed by the junior high school chemistry curriculum standards, the paper firstly discloses the research on the current situation and theoretical basis of team cooperative study. Secondly, from the perspective of knowledge classification on junior high school chemistry teaching content, five sections of knowledge are formed in terms of the mysteries of matter and material changes, materials around us, quantitative understanding of chemical substances and chemical changes, scientific research, and chemistry and social development. Then analysis is made based upon different learning content of cooperative study and the integration of information technology. It summarizes the integration points, and makes case demonstrations. According to the analyses on the effectiveness, the applied method of information technology is defined for junior high school chemistry team cooperative study and it also provides references for the relevant teaching.
