As a kind of new teaching mode of education,"Learning Plan Guidance" meets the requirements of model teaching, and fully reflects the advanced teaching idea that "the students act as the main bodies, the teachers play leading roles in teaching", which leads to it wide application in all subjects in secondary school. Based on the pattern of "Learning Plan Guidance", this article combines students’condition with the regional geography teaching. Starting with learning plan guidance and its basic theory, this paper analyzes its feasibility of application in the regional geography teaching and general cognitive structure of regional geography as well as the construction of independent learning plan guidance, and puts forward corresponding strategy from the perspective of the writing of learning plan guidance, with the purpose of shedding light on the characteristics of learning plan guidance of regional geography, the paper aims to strengthen the teaching effectiveness of regional geography.In this article, the writer is convinced that independent learning plan guidance of regional geography is defined as the application of learning plan guidance mode in the teaching of regional geography. Referring the students’condition and instructional resources, independent learning plan guidance of regional geography, designed by geography teachers in secondary school and used by middle school students learning the regional geography, is to promote the students’capability of self-directed learning and teaching effectiveness of regional geography and can be used in teaching the regional geography in class. Independent learning plan guidance of regional geography contributes to gaining the knowledge of location and areas, regional features, regional associations and differences, and regional sustainable development. From three different perspectives of content of learning plan guidance, its composition system and its different lesson types, every component of learning plan guidance plays different roles. As far as I am concerned, independent learning plan guidance of regional geography can incorporate the guiding ideology of learning plan guidance and cognitive structure of regional geography, as a result, the writing of independent learning plan guidance will be optimized with the strategy of making students subjectivity prominent, problematize and employing appropriate method, diagrammatic presentation, comparing in the same scale and different scale combination. Nevertheless, this paper is confined to the theoretical research, not proved by teaching practice. Meanwhile, due to writer’s lack of teaching experience, shortcomings are inevitable in this paper.
