A Study Of Organization Culture In Chinese Local Teachers Colleges

With Chinese educational system lined in with the world, local teachers collegeshave been faced with the greatest opportunities and challenges ever in teaching abilities,course establishing, specialty development and talent cultivating. In view of the crisisand dilemma that local teachers colleges get in, it is, therefore, necessary for thesecolleges to transform again. The transformation concerns not only the schoolingposition readjustment the new schemes and implements of their development strategies.The transformation goes quite profound idealistically and experimentally thereby. Inthis sense, the topmost problem these local teachers colleges have to solve for a longtime is how to combine the students’ individual goals with the goals of the college sothat the college may keep harmony with the motivated students, developing its owninnovation and adaptability, showing its own distinctions, transforming successfully inthe end.Based on the study of three colleges, this paper tries to analyze the problems oforganization culture in local teachers colleges’ transformation from the perspective ofmanagement, adopting concentric circles theory and organization culture and strategies.It also figures out the causes of the problems and gives suggestions as to developorganization culture in local teachers colleges, trying to provide some availableinformation and give constructive references to all the local teachers collegesnationwide.The main ideas of the paper:1. It lists the problems and introduces the meaning of this study, the approaches ofthe research and what the scholars are focusing on.2. It defines relevant conceptions, and proves in the paper the theories likeconcentric circles theory and organization culture and strategies.3. It mainly introduces what organization culture in local teachers colleges is likeduring transforming, based on the studies of present local teachers colleges.4. It analyses the existent problems of the organization culture in the local teacherscolleges during the transformation, from the perspectives of the materialism, systems and essence, exploring the basic reasons leading to these problems from theorganization culture construction and organization culture itself.5. According to the existent problems of the organization culture in local teacherscolleges and corresponding reasons, this paper offers advice and ways of developingorganization culture in local teachers colleges.
