Vitalized throughout the history of Chinese education, moral education, as a significant component of education for all-around development, should also be highlighted in English teaching process. In reality, however, many perceive that only the head teacher in charge of the class should be responsible for moral education sector. By contrast, this paper holds that moral education should be implemented in every corner of the teaching practices. According to English Curriculum Standards and considering the psychological characteristics of primary-school English learners, English teachers should include both professional knowledge and moral implementation.This thesis consists of the following parts:The introduction gives a briefing on the background and current situation of the study, and details the object of the study and its research approaches, then the significance of the study.Chapter2illustrates the inner connection between elementary-school English teaching and moral infiltration from the aspects of textbooks, teaching process and the cultural influence of English on moral implementation.Chapter3stresses the existent drawbacks of moral implementation in elementary-school English teaching. The problems mainly reflect as disagree between the targets of practical teaching and moral education as well as the superficiality of moral implementation.Chapter4proposes several strategies for moral implementation in elementary-school English teaching, such as utilizing textbooks for moral infiltration, utilizing positive environment for moral implementation and moral implementation on teaching process.
