The competition between nations is increasingly fierce today, and all in all, the essence of such competition is the science and technology competition, science and technology is playing an increasingly important role in contemporary society and our lives。 People is the main body in developing the society, the essence competition in social science and technology actually is the talent competition。 Therefore, in order to have a place in the international competition, we need to carry out education strategy and sustainable development strategy under the guidance of the scientific concept of development, speed up the process of modernization in order to bring up high-tech talent who has scientific literacy。The students who are in middle school are the main power in developing the society, and the successors of the socialist cause, the reserve force of a large number of high-quality knowledge and expertise。 The level of the middle school students’scientific literacy is very important for us national’s comprehensive strength。 However, according to the results of the eighth civic scientific literacy survey, we know that only3.27%of the proportion of scientific literacy of our citizens, and the situation is quite different from the developed countries, and the result of this situation is worrying。 In view of this, the cultivation of students’scientific literacy is need to paid attention to。The hometown of Mencius---Zoucheng in Shandong Province, how is the status quo of students’scientific literacy education? In the context of the reform of basic education, what problems exist in students’scientific literacy education? And how can we solve the above problems through the society、 schools and students? These are all required thinking and research issues in this article。This paper put STS education as the theoretical basis, and it use literature method、 the form of questionnaire and talking with others in this research。 This paper conducted a survey of the current status of the students’science literacy, using of quantitative methods。 The questionnaire is divided into three progressive areas: the degree understanding of the basic science concepts、the method of solving scientific problems、understanding of the technology’s impact on our modern life。 The author talks with the teachers and the parents in order to further understand the status and problems of secondary stage of scientific literacy in this city, and thus we can find the causes of the problems and ways to solve problems and countermeasures。In this paper, the specific chapter reads as follows:Chapter I:Introduction。 It tells us when it happen、 why we have an research on thesis topics (theoretical and practical significance)、 the situation of the research at Home and Abroad、research ideas and its related concepts。The second chapter:the process of the research on Zoucheng students’scientific literacy status in Shandong Province, and it specifically describes the overall situation in Zoucheng, the object of study and research purposes and research methods, it details the research process, and analyze the situation。The third chapter describes the main problems and the reasons of the problem。 In this chapter, we find the main problems in science literacy of students in Zoucheng:1、The current education system is not conducive to the cultivation of students’scientific literacy。2、 Family、 school and social paid little attention to the problem on the students’scientific literacy。3、 Traditional mode of teaching is not conducive to students’scientific literacy。4、 The learning styles of students is not conducive to students’scientific literacy。And the reasons of the problems are as followed:1、. China’s exam-oriented education system and education model。2、 The liberal arts and science lead to the imbalance of science education and humanities education in middle schools。3、 The secondary school science teachers’scientific literacy are not enough。The fourth chapter tells us the countermeasures of improving the students’ scientific literacy。We should based on our current actual basic education in order that we can improve the scientific literacy of middle school students, and combined with the needs of the students’own development, integrate the two main resources of social and school to build students’scientific literacy training framework。We can set up a platform for the cultivation of students’scientific literacy through the integration of school and society。It specifically including:1、Society should build big atmosphere to conducive to the students’scientific literacy education。 2、School education should be placed in focus, such as:adjust the curriculum, strengthen STS education and faculty3、Students should strengthen the ability of self-education。In short, how to comprehensively enhance the ability of students’scientific literacy have become an important task for educators currently。 It will take us a long time to achieve the goals, and it needs our educators to explore long-term unremitting,it also need the concerted efforts and support of our schools social and family...
