The Research On Group Work Intervention In Social Adaptation Problems Of Military Retired Cadres

Retired military cadres devoted their youth and blood and made great contributions to the stable development of our society.In the army,they have formed a fixed life habit.They only need to finish their own work with special people serving them other social affairs.However,when they retired,their long-term life experience in the army will cause them hard to adapt to the current living environment and lead to a series of psychological problems.When they retired to the local,they face the society again with low social integration and high social adaptation pressure.Social adaptation is a prominent problem to military cadres when they returned to the local.So it is necessary for us as social workers to pay attention to the current situation of these retired military cadres and find out the difficulties they facing and their real needs.Then to provide more accurate and professional services to help them adapt to life after retirement as soon as possible and live happily in their later years.Based on social support theory,activity theory,Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and group dynamics theory,this paper takes the A Military Retired Cadres' Sanatorium in Jiangxi Province as the research object.And according to the five months of professional practice in the military institute,the author through investigation and interview to realize the current situation and real needs of retired military cadres.Then according to their general problems of social adaptation,using the method of group work intervention services,aiming at the problem of social adaptation of military cadres,the author's team designed and carried out a series of group work with the theme of "Ivy League" Activities in order to help retired cadres to get out of social difficulties,to adapt to the current retirement life as soon as possible,to change their roles,further to enhance their ability to adapt to society and realize their self-worth.In addition to,the author evaluate the effectiveness of group work.The results show that some problems of social adaptation can be effectively solved by the intervention of group work.Finally,the author rethinks and summarizes the group work service,and puts forward the relevant suggestions and countermeasures that how to better solve the problems of social adaptation of retired military cadres and establish the standardized and institutionalized service system of the military social work.
