The Research On The Retired Army Cadres Integration To Community With Social Work Intervention

It is an important part of the Party,the government and the army's work to hand over the settlement and management of the retired army cadres to the local government.Jiangsu Province is the province that has accepted the largest number of retired army cadres in East China area,and top 5 in China.The total number of retired army people of Jiangsu Province has accepted reached 23,000;among them,there are 16,000 retired army cadres.In Jiangsu Province,there are 143 retired army cadres' sanatorium organizations and 1,100 workers responsible for the service and supporting work.The retired army cadres in Wuxi City are distributed in "seven sanatoriums and one center".Wuxi Z retired army cadres sanatorium has the largest number of retired army cadres and the smallest number of workers.The living mode of retired army cadres is collective.The retired army cadres are great treasure of the Party and the government.After going to the local,the retired army cadres,as a special group which is not native,have some problems in adapting to the local community.This research takes the retired army cadres from the Z retired army cadres sanatorium as the service object,by the means of conversation and observation,found that the retired army cadres have some problems in the language,communicating,lack of social resources,and less participation in community,thus affecting the communication and integration of the retired army cadres with the local community and people.According to the situation that the number the retired army cadres is large,the social workers choose the two ways of team and community to intervene the research,and choose targeted social work intervention modes to explore the ways for the retired army cadres to integrate into the local community,and try to find out the effective mode of practical operation.In the teamwork,the social workers take the mutual benefit mode as the intervention means,combining the communication of the teamwork study and the feedback of the field work experience,warmed up the enthusiasm about language study,and improved the community life ability of the team members,satisfying the team members in the belonging to the community and mutual dependence.Through the interaction of the team workers,the retired army cadres learned how to express themselves and establish wider social network,thus integrating to the local life better.In the social work of the community,the social workers helped and lead the retired army cadres to give full play of their strengths,to devote their effects,and to join in the community activities.The retired army cadres enriched their later life and realized self-fulfillment on the one hand;and increased the participation in the community,improved the belonging to the community,and sped up the integration to the community on the other hand.Comparing the degrees of the integration to the community before and after the social work intervention,the obj ect of the social work is achieved basically.In the process of social work intervention,the connection of "community workers organization-retired army sanatorium-community" is the basis for their interaction.The community can take full advantage of the retired army sanatorium as the bridge linking community workers organization and the community,making sure that the three have close relationship with each other,so as to guarantee the social work intervention.In addition,the skills of the social workers,the skills and depth during intervention have to be explored.
