Social Work Intervention In Improving The Quality Of Mental Life Of Retired Militaiy Cadres

With the reforms going thoroughly,profound changes have taken place in China's economy and society.With the improvement of people's living standards and the progress of modern medical treatment,the average life expectancy of the elderly has been prolonged,while the proportion of the elderly population has been rising,resulting in an increasingly serious problem of population aging.With the further improvement of the national social security system,the material life of the elderly has been guaranteed and the demand for spiritual life has increased.How to enrich the spiritual life of the elderly and spend their old age safely has become an important social issue.This study selects the retired veteran cadres in Y Military Resting House of Jiujiang as the research object,and discusses the role of social work on the quality of spiritual life of retired military cadres.In the previous survey,100 retired military cadres in Y military Rest Center were selected to conduct a household questionnaire survey,and then 20 representative retired military cadres were selected from the questionnaire for further visits to know the spiritual needs of retired military cadres.On this basis,with the help of action research,social work methods are used to intervene in the spiritual needs of retired military cadres to improve their spiritual quality of life.The first and second stages of the group work are to improve the spiritual needs of retired military cadres,so that retired military cadres can build a social support network.On this basis,the third stage of community work should be carried out to enrich the social activities of retired military cadres and meet the spiritual needs of retired military cadres.Different from the first and second stages,the design of the activities are based on the advantages of retired military cadres in the third stage,and they are proposed by retired military cadres themselves,and social workers complement and improve the contents of the activities to complete together.The study found that the military retired social workers 'activities can not onlybring spiritual satisfaction to the military retired cadres,but also enable them to establish their own social network.This paper analyzes the effectiveness of the social work activities through the evaluation and reflection of the activities.According to the current situation of the spiritual and cultural life of the military retired cadres of the Y military retreat and the work of social workers,the suggestions for the social workers of the Y military retreat were put forward.On the basis of improving the spiritual level,the social work of the military retreat was continuously developed.
