As an important non-intelligence factor, learning activities play an important role onstudents’study. However, in the teaching process of high school thought political lesson,the lackof learning motivation is common. As the ideological and political curriculum reforms constantly,how to effectively carry out ideological and political course teaching reform ideas, promotestudents’ political, ideological, moral and psychological quality improvement; How to stimulatethe students’learning motivation of thought political lesson, cultivate the students’ autonomouslearning consciousness; How to exert students’ subjectivity in ideological and political lesson,improve their learning enthusiasm, these all need attention and concern in our current ideologicaland political teaching process. In this article, base on the investigation and study of the presentsituation,the author research the reason of the lack of learning motivation, and puts forward thesignificance of research, and discuss the strategies of learning motivation.The article is divided into four parts. The introduction elaborate the topic significance, thedomestic and foreign research status, research methods and innovations; The first part analyzesthe survey results of the high school thought political lesson of the investigation of the status quoof the study questionnaire; According to the result of investigation and study, the second partdiscusses the reasons for the lack of learning motivation; The third part elaborates thesignificance of stimulate the student learning motivation in thought political lesson; The forthpart puts forward the measures to stimulate high school thought political lesson learningmotivation based on self-determination theory.
