For the students of primary school, oral communication course is main form to developstudents’ oral communication awareness and improve their oral communicative abilities.Reasonable instructional design by the teacher before class is premise for a good class of oralcommunication. As a new curriculum, oral communication course has lower degree of concernand does not play its role well in actual teaching for lack of examination mechanism. Due to theabove reasons, on the basis of oral communication theory, the paper researched instructionaldesign of oral communication course of primary school from four parts: teaching objective,teaching content, teaching method and teaching evaluation, figured out shortcomings andproposed recommendations for improvement through combining of interviews and practicalexperience.This study will follow the research approach of "consulting literature-investigating currentsituation-analyzing the current situation-proposing countermeasures”. Firstly, on the basis ofextensive reference to literature, the paper summarizes of the concept and related theories of oralcommunication of Chinese language in primary shool, and the paper will fully grasp theinstructional design shortcomings of the teacher during teaching, such as, fuzzy teaching goaldesign, rigescent teaching content design, bad operational teaching methods, imperfect teachingevaluation design through interviews and classroom observation methods. Secondly, actualteaching situations are observed and recorded during intership can help to understand how tomake instructional design by teachers. Thirdly, this paper analyzed existing problems on thebasis of in-depth investigation and practice and tried to find out reasons. Finally, the relatedmeasures to solve these issues are proposed, and this can improve the instructional design abilityof primary school language teachers in oral communication course.This study is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction, including the origin ofthe problem, literature review and research methods; The second part is theory elaboration torelated concepts of instructional design of primary school Chinese oral communication; The thirdpart is problems existing in instruational design gained through interview investigation and caseanalysis, namely, lacking of clarity of teaching goal design, flexibility in the selection of teachingcontent, practical applicability of teaching methods design, unicity of teaching evaluation design;II The fourth part is to analyze the causes of problems. The reasons are the the traditional educationconcept of neglect, despising oral communication education duringteaching management ofschool, lack the test system of oral communication and the inadequacy of teachers themselves.The paper tries to find out the deep reasons from the source, and provides support forimprovement countermeasures; The fifth part is improvement recommendations for primaryschool Chinese oral communication teaching, including following four points as improve thetraditional education concept, supervising and management of school, the evaluation system andteachers, etc.
