“The standard of high school information technology curriculum”formulates that thegeneral objective of information technology curriculum is to improve students’informationliteracy, and enhance the students’ ability of using knowledge they have learned to solvepractical problems. In order to achieve the objective, information technology curriculum hasbeen established widely, but through the teaching practice in a key high school in Jinan ofShandong province, the author realize that because the course content is boring, and the teachingmethods is simpiex, the emphasis of information technology course is low enough for teachers,parents, even students, all of this lead to the shortage of students’ learning motivation, therefore,it can’t really reach the demand of cultivating the students’ spirit of innovation and explorationthat the new curriculum standard has put forward. As an important aspect of the educationalinformationization, the learning platform provides a forceful instrument for teachers to guidestudents learning effective, moreover Moodle, as an Course Management System with open,free and powerful function, becomes an ideal choice for teachers to construct course learningplatform. This paper select Moodle to design and develop high school information technologycurriculum for Shandong province, in order to provide an excellent course learning platform forhigh school students.This paper used mainly the research methods of literature analysis, questionnaires, interview,and the research work included some aspects as following.1.The research in the related theory of curriculum design and development based onMoodle platform. It mainly included the definition about network teaching platform, curriculumdesign, curriculum development ect, also contained the analysis of constructivism theory,humanistic theory, instructional design theory, and expounded the guiding significance of thesetheory to this paper. 2.The research in the related status. By refering to a large number of domestic and foreignliterature, summarized the application status of Moodle platform based on statistical analysis,through the results of the investigation and interview about some students and teachers of a highschool in Shandong province, analysed the current status of high school information technologycurriculum, thereby, all of these provided theoretical and practical basis for this study.3.The advantage of constructing high school information technology curriculum based onMoodle. Through understanding the structural systerm and functional characteristics of Moodle,and compared with other Course Management System, expounded the advantage of design anddevelopment of the high school information technology curriculum based on Moodle combinedwith the results of comparison.4.Design and develop the high school information technology curriculum based on Moodleplatform. Mainly contained the analysis of students and course before design and development,summarized the principle and the mode of curriculum design based on Moodle, on the basis ofthis, concluded the general process of curriculum design and development of high schoolinformation technology, provided reference for designing the specific contents of the course.5.The examples of design. Selected the class of “Word processing software” in the textbookof high school information technology, designed it specificly according to the general process ofcurriculum design, and used the result of the design in teaching practice, through the analysis ofthe teaching effect, summarized the advantages and problems of using the teaching platform, toprovid reference for other sections.After a series of research, this paper made some achievement, due to the limit of the timeand capability, there still exists many defects and shortsges in the research, so in the future workwill continue to supplement and perfect this research.
