On The Employment Issue Of Mtcsol/Mtcfl

By means of Sociological Survey and Social Statistics, the research analyzes the employment status of the students of Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)/Master of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (MTCFL), sampling87students of MTCSOL/MTCFL from Shandong University. The paper uses questionnaire empirical approach into the employment status and some important conclusion is acquired.The research is divided into four parts. The first part includes the background of this research and the research method as well as the literature review; the second part introduces questionnaire design explanation, reorganization and collection; the third part gives some main conclusions draw by previous study and the last part is an analysis on the reasons why coursed the phenomenon or problems.Survey results show that the employment status of MTCSOL/MTCFL is not ideal. Firstly, the domestic employment rate continues to decrease; secondly, few students can find a job related to their major; thirdly, the course system and the practical course system did not appear to influence the employment status of MTCSOL/MTCFL. There are three reasons for the result above. The first, lack of a mature career path for the MTSOL/MTCFL is the a large part of the problem; the second, he course system and the practical course system is defective; the third, most of the MTSOL/MTCFL didn’t have a reasonable career plan.Because of the limitation of my theoretical level, there will be omissions in the analysis above unavoidably. However I hope this research can play a role on the subsequent research.
