With the implement of new curriculum reform, development and extension hasbecome an important part in Chinese teaching. The thesis uses literature research method,observation method, statistical method and interview method to analyze the reasons, suchas the misunderstanding of the language nature, the wrong orientation for richextracurricular resources and the deviate of evaluation mechanism, and the problemsnowadays, such as separate of teaching text, departure from the language standard, out ofthe student actual situation and so on.In order to solve the present confusion of development and extension of Chineseteaching, this article puts forward the idea of secondary development of teaching text in theprocess of extends, that is to say, make full use of the surplus value of teaching text inextends. The idea has strong practical significance, and brought up under the premise ofseverals, such as teaching text itself has multiple values,‘one class, one gain’ needs tomake full use of surplus value of teaching text and development and extension needs theuse of local materials.Based on the understanding of present situation and the analysis of feasibility, thisarticle also discusses how to make use of the surplus value of teaching text in extends incombination with two teaching materials of fourth grade of the version of JiangSu, in orderto provide practical ideas of the way of secondary development of teaching text in theprocess of extends.
