Gymnastics is the content of school physical education,an important part of teaching in physical education occupies a large proportion. Since ancient times,gymnastics and fitness has a close relationship. The new curricula standard which theeducational department drafted in 2001 has been put into test in part of the provinces and cities of the country. In the new curricular standard systerm, the gymnastic courses that has been determined as the required course in the middle school physical education,this is the teaching of gymnastics and gymnastics as a correct evaluation of their value takes treat proportion according to its value which it makes to junior middle school student's special exercises. However, because of many reasons,gymnastic courses doesn't go ahead ideally in middle schools, as well as the shrinking trand appears in most middle schools. Its prospect is being worried,which influences not only the popularization and implementation of the new curricula, but also the qualities of physical education in middle schools and the situations of students seriously. It is a problem which is faced and to be solved physical teachers urgently that analyzing all kinds of factors of urban schools and finding out feasible solutions on the basis of this situation.On this account,gymnastic teaching has been investigated and analyzed in junior schools in Haerbin. The objects of the study are the 250 physical teachers and 3000 students in 50 junior middle school in Haerbin. Methods of finding documents, interviewing experts, investigating questionnaire,analyzing logically and counting statistics are used in the thesis. The results of the study indicate following points.1. The physical funds of junior middle school in Haerbin are insufficient .Athletic equipments have not a high rate of attaining the criterion in most schools, but they are poorly equipped on the grounds. The light apparatus have a high ratio of attaining the standard,but a low one of being ratio of attaining the standard, but a low one of being used exsists. Also,the quantity o gymnastic special apparatus are wanted.2. Most junior middle physical education program development of Harbin is unreasonable,gymnastics a small proportion of the teaching content,and gymnastics in the time allocation of each item is unreasonable,especially gymnastics four (horizontal bar,parallel bars,supporting jump,skills) smaller proportion,and even some schools to cancel these four,which needs to change.3. New Curriculum has been implemented in recent decades,but Harbin City Junior High School physical education teachers knowledge and understanding of their problems still exist, require in-depth research and learning.4. Most of Harbin City Junior middle School physical education teachers the training of teachers and insufficient knowledge and training,there are also "Learning and Teaching" difficult to apply in practice the situation,the teacher content knowledge and training to be improved.5. Harbin City Junior High School Physical Education Teacher of the structure is more reasonable,but less highly educated teachers,school physical education teachers and students,the ratio of the number of unreasonable and irrational ratio of male and female teachers, the majority of PE teachers in professional ball games and track and field Gymnastics professional teachers less,affecting the normal development of teaching gymnastics.6. The gymnastics study of Haerbin city junior middle schools are aggressive not high, student body weak,poor foundation,the low quality of mental gymnastics teaching smoothly.7.Harbin assessment and evaluation system of gymnastics is imperfect .
