Charter of the international geography education is put forward:"geography in different levels of education can be a has the vigor, has thefunction and interested subjects, and contribute to a lifelong appreciation andunderstanding the world." While in our country a "ordinary high school newcurriculum test report showed that45.6%students think it’s difficult togeography, in seven subjects were ranked in second place after the physical(56.9%). What causes this situation? In addition to geographical science itselfhas a wide range, content miscellaneous and other characteristics, has a veryimportant reason is the weakness of the geography teaching mode. This articleattempts to the geographic map of a second language-as the breakthroughpoint, the pedagogy, psychology, geography teaching theory and the theory ofgeography new curriculum reform as guidance, combining with themselvesand others years of teaching practice, summarizes the key research ingeography teaching in training students’ geography drawing ability of thestrategy and specific methods, and in junior high school stage raises thestudent geography drawing on students’ various ability, the influence ofgeographical interest in learning, academic performance. This article mainlyincludes the following several parts: cultivating geography in junior highschool students the ability to draw the reason, geography in junior high schoolstudents, the study status of cultivating ability of middle school geographydrawing method, hierarchical culture geography in junior high school studentsthe ability to draw policy, cultivating ability of middle school geography drawing experiment.Undertake to the student geography drawing ability must conform to thebasic idea of new curriculum reform, following the geographical sciencetheory method, and in the education psychology, brain sciences under theguidance of theory. Geographical mapping to the cultivation of the students injunior middle school students ability of the questionnaire, from readingdrawing ability, mental map, map teaching, the students’ ability in geographylearning, drawing such aspects as understanding of the students in the use ofimage problems of learning geography, so that researchers can do targeted,more scientific.On the basis of the predecessors, the author combines his years ofteaching practice summarized two kinds of ten kinds of concrete method tocultivate the ability to draw. Also to develop strategies, according to thecultivating process of1, divided into: primary stage, painting, intermediatestage, figure combination strategy transfer strategy, advanced stage-figurebrain conversion strategyFinally, using the above research results to erlian city the second highschool the first grade students conducted a teaching experiment, through theexperiment confirmed the "train the ability of middle school geographydrawing" of teaching effect, discovered the problems should be paid attentionto in teaching, and the positive influence on students’ various aspects ability.
