Since the new curriculum articulates the implementation of inquiry teaching,and combined with its advantages, inquiry teaching has been widely used in basiceducation class. Explorative study in junior middle school is limited by a variety offactors, and there are pressing questions as follows:(1) Biology inquiry learning injunior middle school requests independent, but today it turns into random;(2)Biology inquiry learning in junior middle school requests cooperation, but today itonly pay attention to forms, new shoes, old road;(3) There is no real inquiry intoday’s biology inquiry learning;(4) Lack of curriculum resources, inquiry teachingcan not be implemented.This thesis chiefly focuses on the activities of biology inquiry learning in juniormiddle school. Implementation of inquiry teaching as an entry point, throughliterature research and questionnaire method, we analysis the specific problems ininquiry learning. Then we try to design appropriate strategies and analysis of sometypical cases in order to provide theory and practice guidance for teachers teachers.According to the paper, we find out that current implementation of biologyinquiry learning in junior high school also has the following specific issues:(1) Thelack uses of inquiry teaching method;(2) Inquiry teaching on students proficiencyrequirements is relatively high;(3) Students independent thinking ability in inquiryteaching is weak;(4) The lack of experiment limits the the implementation of inquiryteaching.Because of the problems showed above, biology inquiring teaching cannotbe properly implemented. Combined with personal experience in teaching,documents analysis and the suggestions of teachers, this study designs the followingstrategies:(1) Change the subject status of teachers to create student-centeredlearning environment;(2) Restructuring the relationship between teaching and learning in order to create learning-centered learning environment;(3) Focus onregulating students inquiry process and create evaluation-centered learningenvironment;(4) Create exchange-centric learning environment through thecooperative learning which acts as a platform. This thesis also design typical cases ininquiry teaching of junior middle school in order to solve the specific problemsshowed from this study.The specific issues in inquiry teaching of junior middle school is the mainreasons for limiting its implementation. We also need to focus on how to overcomethe defects of inquiry teaching and develop its strengths, and let the application ofinquiry teaching in the middle school classroom get better results. Therefore, theresults and conclusions of the paper will have a certain reference value.
