Shandong Province, as one of experimental bases for high school musiccurriculum reform, carried out music curriculum reform after nine-yearcompulsory education. The curriculum created conditions for theinnovation and development of education and brought about opportunities.With the development of the curriculum reform, music teaching in highschool has made great achievements in carrying out” curriculumstandards” and all-round implementation of curriculum reform aftertough exploration and practice. Teaching concepts have been greatlychanged and teaching methods has been reformed and innovated, thusexcellent research achievements and teaching experience are emerging. Upto now, overall standard of teaching has been greatly improving andteaching quality has been promoting under the guidance of the concept ofthe new curriculum.It has been eight years since music was taught in senior high schools inShandong Province. What achievements has our province accomplished and whatdifficulties has our province confronted in the past eight years? Based on the situationof two senior high schools in the county and the survey on four schools in Huantaiand Yiyuan in Zibo, the author carried out a survey on music classroom teaching tofind out the present situation in senior high school classroom, find problems from itand come up with effective suggestions and methods. The author is expecting tocontribute little to music teaching in classroom.
