After the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in1992, wehave obtained some achievements in education for sustainable development (EFS), which arestill undesirable. Education for sustainable development is complex and inclusive, requiresthe participation of all people in their lifelong. Striving to educate for sustainabledevelopment is the unshakable obligations of every teacher. The thesis conducts systematicresearch on EFS in high school, in which teaching can profoundly affect on every student.This paper consists of six chapters: Chapter1introduces the current situation of researchbackground, the domestic and the external research of the sustainable development ofeducation and the subject of the objectives to be achievedChapter2analyses five aspects of EFS of the theory are discussed in detail. Mainlyincludes: the strategy of sustainable development is the only way of human development;theory of the scientific development practice and development of strategies for sustainabledevelopment in China; sustainable development of education is the foundation ofimplementing the strategy of sustainable development; seven core themes of sustainabledevelopment education in China; implement form of EFS in China.Chapter3discusses the important status of physics education in sustainable developmentsystem from the physics research object, research methods in physics, physics cultivatescientific attitude and scientific spirit, physics and the progress of science and technology,physics and social development five aspects,; and analyzes the localization of current "Ordinary high school physics curriculum standards " for sustainable development.Chapter4combs systematically materials for sustainable development in physics subjectalong the period of the high school education.Chapter5explores the five effective ways that can help the students to master theconcept of sustainable development throng practice of physics teaching in high school:①tocreate a micro-social system is conducive to the sustainable development education.②in thephysics classroom teaching is the idea of the sustainable development education, includingteaching physics concept teaching and physical laws.③The view of sustainable developmentin the teaching of physics experiment education.④in the science and technology activity course in EFS.⑤in the physics project research in EFS. And I write examples of innovationin EFS through the five ways.Chapter6analyses effects of the five ways for EFS in high school physics educationthrough observation, interview education effect on sustainable development were analyzed,and through the comparison of results of detection, and draws the conclusions.
