As it is well-known, the Mongols liked drinking and the custom of drinking was unchanged after they unified the whole country.Banquet became a top-down social fashion.With the economical development of the society.the banquet was gradually beyond its basic function of diet and produced other aspects of the functions such as social events.However, because of different culture backgrounds and women’s social roles,the types.purposes and manners they took part in were also different,which maked the banquet present diversified trend at this period.Family is the traditional groundwork of female identity and existence,but, from the point of consumption space, the Mongolian noble women often appeared the space which was related to politics, and the boundaries of households inside and outside were been overemphasized and Banquet had many types,large-scale and tend to comply with Mongolian people’s traditional customs.Meanwhile,wo men in literati stratum were usually excluded from public space,and their banquet were often held at home and the social networks were usually around the family,but when the people in banquet beyond their family members,the activities were also held as social activities.Women in literati stratum complied with traditional the Confucian ethics in banquet.As the special group of lower social grade, prostitutes filled the roles of vomiting-inducing toasts and performances in the activities,which were beyond home.Thus, they were discriminated because of their humble identities.Based on what mentioned aboved, this thesis reveals the characteristics of banquet and the influence of the social landscape through the study of the three groups.
