A Research On Present Situation Of University Physical Education Curriculum In Southern Area Of Jiangsu

In order to strengthen the macro management and guidance to the work of physicaleducation in Universities of Jiangsu Province, to promote the university to attachesimportance and the supports to sports teaching, Department of education of JiangsuProvince established the university public sports curriculum construction evaluationsystem, and evaluated regular assessment of physical education curriculum from2009on. From2010to2011, Some colleges and universities participated in public sportscurriculum evaluation, problems in college sports curriculum gradually surfaced: someuniversities do not attach importance to public sports curriculum construction, andcannot set up public physical education by rules, becaus PE class is insufficient, thestudents’ physical exercise were affected. Secondly, in the aspect of construction ofCollege PE teachers in Colleges and universities, the number of full-time teachers is low,and there are too many part-time teachers,by which the quality of College PE coursedrops, which affects the physical and mental quality of students and the quality ofpersonnel training; in addition, the sports resource is constrainted, and sports equipmentis lacked, sports class development is not satisfying. PE class periods are reduced andpersonnel training quality’s decline violates with our country ‘s university sportscurriculum standard, which not only reduces the status of college sports curriculum, butalso greatly influenced the reform and development of college sports curriculum.This study used the method of literature, questionnaire, expert interview,mathematical statistics and logical analysis, following <The evaluation standard andmethod of the Jiangsu Province ordinary college public physical education curriculum>,combining the field investigation, carries on the analysis of the present constructionsituation of public sports course in college in south of Jiangsu province.Research results show that: the physical education curriculum system is complete, and basically done in accordance with the relevant requirements; as for teachingmaterial construction, colleges and universities have edited their own textbooks, somecolleges and universities also prepared teaching materials on theory with thecharacteristics of the University, but the quality still needs to be improved; thecurriculum mode’s diversification promotes the development of university physicaleducation curriculum, but ignored the dominant position of students; sports teachergradually gets attention, but there are still insufficient need, professional education andtraining for teachers is lacked; some college sports facilities are not satisfying; afterpassing the evaluation some schools decrease sport curriculum construction. In view ofthe above problems, I put forward the corresponding solution: according to the school,edit sport teaching material with the characteristics of the university and broaden thescope of sports teaching; the school develop and perfect gradually the characteristics ofthe university sports teaching mode according to the course objectives and the teachingcondition. Pay attention to attract outstanding talent, has a long-term plan for teachers’training, and develop appropriate incentive and business assessment mechanism, whichis urging the teachers to research; scientific and rational use of existing venues andfacilities help the development of sports industry in Colleges and universities, make fulluse of sports resources outside the school, amd expand the university sports teachingmode; regular evaluation of the construction of college sports curriculum will improvestandards of the college sports curriculum construction.
