With the sustainable development of economy,the speed of urbanization becomefaster and faster. A large number of migrant workers have been flooding into cities andmade great contributions to the development of economic, as well as infrastructure.However, their children have to be left behind in rural areas because of householdregistration, admission and so on. They were to stay with other relatives, but not parents,which has caused the dual separation between parents and children. In recent years, thephenomenon of left-behind children has become widespread, which has seriouslyaffected the education of left-behind children and the physical and mental health.This article takes the left-behind junior middle school students as the researchobject. We will start the research with the importance of family education on children’sgrowth and investigate the situation of left-behind junior middle school students, whichis aimed at figuring out the absence of family education. Rural left-behind junior middleschool students have very strong plasticity as a special group. And family education hasa direct impact on them, for it plays an important role in the growing-upThis paper consists of several parts. First of all, we take the a north Jiangsu areaJ.B town middle school as a typical case. The parents migrating into the city makes thesubject of students’ family education change, which made a difference to the presentsituation of the left-behind junior middle school students. We will focus on their livingconditions, education status and psychological characteristics. Second, we will analyzethe cognitive of left-behind junior middle school students such as contents of familyeducation and the role of family factors. Third, based on the change of the way offamily education, family atmosphere, parents expectation, and the external environment,we will advocate the principle of fairness, coordination and opening to the resources ofsociety, schools and families. We hope to optimize the environment of family educationto promote the development of mental and physical health of left-behind junior middle school students.
