Today, in the twenty-first century education for a country or region’spolitical, economic, cultural and people’s own development has a veryimportant role. The world are now more and more attention to the impact ofeducation on its development. Development of education can not beignored factors of teachers, teacher education direct participants andimplementers, the teachers quality will directly affect the development ofeducation. China’s "national long-term education reform and developmentplan (2010-2020)" proposed: strict teacher qualifications, improve thequality of teachers, and strive to create a noble morality, business skills,reasonable structure, vibrant high-quality professional teachers team. Inhistory, geography education development road twists and turns and upsand downs, Geography Teachers uneven level. Central and western regionsof Inner Mongolia, the rapid economic development in the past years, thedevelopment of education, geography teachers’ team building situation withthe region’s economic development, meets the requirements of the newcurriculum reform. To better understand these situations, the regionalgeography teachers’ staff development research to understand the situation,analyze the situation and the gap of state regulations to find out the existingproblems of the region’s geography Teachers and problems and reasonscomprehensive analysis of the proposed improved countermeasures topromote the development of the region of Middle School GeographyTeachers.In this paper questionnaire, literature review, statistical analysis of thecentral and western regions of Inner Mongolia geography teachers’ statusquo investigation, statistical analysis, to understand the basic situation ofthe region secondary school geography teachers, professional philosophyand ethics, expertise, professional competence, mental health status, as well as secondary school students of geography teacher satisfaction.Analysis of the survey, Inner Mongolia, central and western regions ofMiddle School Geography Teachers found the following problems: First,the teachers basically rational structure, gender, age, number of structuresneed to continue to adjust. Second, teachers’ ethics, individual teachers,corporal punishment on students. Third, the geography teacher subjectknowledge is good, the educational theory knowledge is not solid. Fourth,teaching ability, but do not pay attention to the use of multimedia. Teachersteaching process-based teaching method. Teachers to participate in continuingeducation purpose, the training effect is not good. Seven teachers in the strongsense of scientific research, education scientific research.To solve the above problem, combined with the actual situation in theregion, especially the following measures: First, continue to improve thestructure of teachers. Second, to further promote to enhance teachers’ ethics.Third, enhance the awareness of teachers’ continuing education to enhancethe effectiveness of training. Fourth, innovative teaching methods,emphasizing the use of multimedia. To encourage teachers to activelyparticipate in education and scientific research.Ultimately hope the above countermeasures to improve the central andwestern regions of Inner Mongolia geography teachers’ status quo, optimize thestructure of teachers to improve teachers’ further improve geography teachers’professional ethics to enhance the professional ideology of geography teachers,geography teachers to improve the scientific and cultural knowledge, geographyteacher theoretical knowledge and expertise, the ability to apply technology toimprove the geography teacher of modern education, research, teaching ability,extra-curricular practical ability, build a good geography teachers to promote thedevelopment of education, the promotion of social progress.
