During the process of promoting Educational Informationalization and popularizing IT education, the practice of the IT curriculum has become a focus for most researchers and practitioners. As a foundational step, investigating and studying the actual state of the IT education in the elementary and middle schools are significant to accelerate the IT education in the whole process. IT education develop is in incomplete period in the west of Inner Mongolia. Therefore, there are some problems on the understanding of IT education, the teaching ways of IT course, its teaching material's compiling, its instructional evaluation and Information Technology and Curriculum Integration, etc. In such a situation, I did a deep and comprehensive investigation in 7 cities in the Western Area of the Inner Mongolia from July to October in 2005. I visited several primary and middle schools, talked to teachers and students, and did questionnaire investigation, etc. This investigation is very valuable and meaningful, which not only can make us know more clearly about the problems existing in the practice IT education and find the factors that lead to the problems, but also can offer some useful information and suggestion to the reform of the IT education and the emending of relative policies.Based on a great deal materials collected in this investigation, the thesis makes detailed analysis to the IT course and the Integration of Information Technology and Curriculum.This thesis consists of five chapters.
