The teacher evaluation mainly refers to the teaching evaluation. The new curriculum reform of basic education put forward the idea of developing teacher evaluation. However, traditional teaching evaluation methods widely used in the current school can not conform to this trend of the reform, there are a series of problems:the only scores on; heavy result, light process; evaluation criteria unreasonable; the evaluation subject of a single. To overcome these problems and conform to the trend of the reform of teaching evaluation, it is necessary to introduce a new method of teaching evaluation. Teaching portfolio evaluation proved able to overcome many limitations of the traditional teaching evaluation, and it has been introduced into the teacher evaluation filed in China for ten years, but not yet to play its role and advantages. Based on this, combined with the status of the teaching evaluation in China and teacher evaluation reform, the thesis is to make a more in-depth study of the teaching portfolio assessment, and try to build a teaching portfolio which can completely, truly and objectively diagnose and evaluate teaching abilities.The thesis is divided into five charters. Charter1states the research background, purpose and significance of research and research thinking and approaches. Charter2is the research summary. Charter3analyzes the status quo of the current domestic teaching evaluation and its limitations, and points out the way to overcome these limitations-Teaching Portfolio Assessment. Charter4is the first step in building a teaching portfolio, focusing on the elements that should be provided in the teaching portfolio, including the meaning of setting each element and materials should be collected. Charter5is the second step in building a teaching portfolio, focusing on developing teaching portfolio evaluation criteria, and analyzing the evaluation subject.There are two major findings in this paper:(1) discovered and analyzed a series of problems in the current domestic teaching evaluation through research;(2) combined with China’s actual teacher evaluation, based on existing research, built a teaching portfolio which can completely, truly and effectively diagnose and evaluate teaching abilities of teachers.
