The Outline of Chinese Teaching at Secondary Vocational Schools (issued by theMinistry of Education in2009) promulgated enough to see that the nation pay muchattention to the course of occupation Chinese education. But it’s unsatisfactorythroughout the status of secondary vocational school Chinese teaching and the attitudeof social parties toward vocational school Chinese teaching.Especially the Chinesereading ability of secondary vocational school students is worrying,which directlyaffects the comprehension and application of professional knowledge,is not conduciveto the secondary vocational student’s lifelong development, and is not conducive tolong-term development of secondary vocational education.The21stcentury is full of challenges and competition,and is also full ofcommunication and cooperation.In the secondary vocational education curriculumsystem,Chinese as a compulsory basic course, not only to teach students systematicknowledge of languages, and more importantly, to enable students to form learningability、improve the quality of humanities、learning interpersonal society、improveprofessionalism through subtly beautiful articles,and play a groundbreaking role intheir continued learning and life-long development.This paper tries to research on improving teaching effect in Chinese readingteaching at secondary vocational schools.Based on the reading teaching reality and newreading teaching concept in The Outline of Chinese Teaching at Secondary VocationalSchools,the author discussed the ways to improve the Chinese reading teaching,andevaluated and rethought them according to my own teaching experience.All in all,thegoal is to provide some experimental support for vocational schools'Chinese readingteaching.Based on the analysis of the Chinese reading teaching reality and definition theimportance of reading teaching, the author discussed the ways to improve students' Chinese reading ability combined with the new concept that are individualized reading,exploratory reading,and holistic reading of The Outline of Chinese Teaching atSecondary Vocational Schools.And it aims to improve students'Chinese reading abilityfor paving the way for better grasping the professional knowledge and laying a goodfoundation for their lifelong learning and sustainable development.
