The creation of the teaching situations is the core topic of the new curriculum reform. With the developing of the new curriculum reform, people are much more aware of the creation of the situation that plays an important role in the class of biology and carrying out lots of researches. At present, the theories and practices of teaching situation in high school biology’s class are not exactly small in China. In this thesis, the researching methods, such as literature study, comparative study, are used, combined with my own teaching experience and other front-line teachers, and based on the concept of the new curriculum and Constructivist Teaching theory. I have done some preliminary empirical researches into the teaching skills in high school biology classes. Finally, some reflects and some suggestions are proposed on the high school biology. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly describes the background, the purpose and the significance of the research. The second part is an overview, which summarizes the meaning of the situational teaching, the necessity of the creation of situations and theoretical basis. The third part is the methods of creating teaching situation in a high school biology’s teaching. This part includes material sources of the biology teaching situation and the material application strategies of creating teaching situation. The fourth part is the practical research of the creation of situations in high school biology teaching. Firstly, design the teaching process. Secondly, do some experimental research. Then, analyse the results of the final examination between the experimental class and the control class, with the purpose of seeking for the theory-based evidences, from the study and presents problems which require further study and discussion about the skills of creating teaching situations.
