For speeding up national rolling stock modernization progress, toshort the distance with the international advanced level, and solve the travellingproblem of the public, the way “import the advanced technology, design liaisonfor manufacture and create Chinese brand”had been adopted by the PartyCentral Committee since2004.The world leading200km/h or more than200km/h high-speed train, high power diesel car, electric locomotive, andharmonized high power electric locomotive technologies had been imported inbased on the Central Committee’s unified deployment. After5years hard study,CRH380high-speed train&harmonized high power electric locomotives hadbeen researched and developed independently, which makes Chinese railwaytransportation technology is one of the world advanced. The Beijing-Shanghaihigh-speed railway was open with the longest operation millage, highest designand manufacture criteria and fastest continuous operation speed on1st July2011,which marks that Chinese high-speed railway technology, positions the worldleading class.The supplier, as the first step of the supply chain, plays the role more andmore important along with the implementation of the technology import. Basedon the statistics, for CRx high-speed train projects only,80%parts need to beprocured, nearly thousands of parts with more than500suppliers. SQM(supplier quality management) become one of the core items for enterprisemanagement. It needs to be solved urgently how to implement supplier qualitymanagement efficiently and make sure the actual procured meet the requirement.Based on the existing supplier quality management in NV company, who isthe key enterprise in national railway transportation, through the analysis andunderstanding to the supply chain management theory, supplier qualitymanagement and IRIS standard, the management and control mode named “tensteps ladder” is designed covering the supplier management overall process andmeanwhile the supplier quality management improvement programme for NVcompany is planned also, which includes the basic thought and method on themain nodes, such as potential supplier finding and supplier selection, qualitymanagement in the early stage of manufacture&delivery and supplier superviseand assessment etc.At last, this article concludes the result of the supplier quality managementimprovement implemented by NV company. The supplier quality managementlevel of NV has been raised and the product quality has been improved to meetthe overall quality of the entire product, meanwhile enterprise core capabilityhas been enhanced. And for the other companies, NV company is a goodreference.
