The Research On The Development And Potential Of Dry Port In Fujian

With the rapid development of international container transportation, the trend of economic globalization is further intensified. The increasing international trade business aggravated the competition among the coastal ports, which urged the inland sourcing with the greater range to meet the needs. In recent years, container transport is gradually expanding to inland from the seas, as a result, the dry port becomes the hot spot in both academic and industrial as a new inland logistics platform. The construction of dry port on the one hand expands the economic hinterland of the coastal ports and increases their throughput, on the other hand it improves the economic and trade environment of the inland cities, which further enhances its level of opening up and eventually promotes regional logistics and the development of economy and society.This dissertation discussed the definition, specification, function and develop modes of dry port; generalized the effects of dry port on the development of regional economy; and summarized the instructive experience via research on the construction of the internal and foreign dry ports. The contents have relatively reference on further study. Meanwhile, the dry port of Fujian province was analyzed as the exact example in this article, analysis. Detailed instruction was expressed on its construct background, develop mode and main problems. A comprehensive evaluation method was made to evaluate the development potentials of the Fujian dry port. Advices were given combined with the reality of Fujian province, which may be adopted in other construction of the dry port in different area of Fujian province.
