The labor-relations is a fundamental social relationship as well as a primary manifestation of the development level of social productivity. The harmonious labor relations can promote the steady and healthy development of the society and economy, whereas then would have the negative impacts on the social development. Nowadays China is placed in the transformation period of the social economy, which has inevitably caused many problems in the establishment process of the labor relations. Especially, the widening income gap in our country has resulted in the interests and power imbalances of labor relations. The construction of socialist harmonious society needs the harmonious labor-relations with more fair and reasonable income distribution.Firstly, starting from the basic concepts of labor relations and the definition of the core meaning and characteristics of the harmonious labor relations, this thesis studied the classical theories of labor conflicts and cooperation as well as the research results of the income distribution, labor relations and economic growth as the theoretical basis; Then, by analyzing the development history, current situation and main problems of China’s income distribution system, this thesis explored the influence of the income distribution on the labor supply-demand in different industries, technical development and business performance of enterprises, and labor relations mode as well; Then, through the reconstruction of the New Cambridge economic growth model, the thesis used the static panel data of China’s different provinces from2000to2009, and conducted the fixed effects empirical test based on the methods of LSDV fixed effect and GLS using within/between respectively to derive the relationship of the income distribution, labor relations and economic growth. The results illustrated that increasing the proportion of labor remuneration in GDP can help to improve labor relations and promote economic growth.On the basis of the research of theoretical perspectives and practical issues, the thesis summarized the ideal harmonious labor relations mode which should be an interests coordination mechanism among enterprises, labors and the government, involving a variety of contracts and institutional arrangements as the complements to emphasize the right of self-coordination and negotiation between workers and enterprises under the government’s macroeconomic control. Finally, the thesis pointed out that the government should perfect the reform of the income distribution system in order to build up a harmonious labor relations:To establish the wage negotiation system and promote reasonable growth of labor compensation; To optimize the order of the income distribution and promote social security reform; To regulate the labor market and respect for labor rights; To promote tripartite consultation mechanism with an active role of Trade unions; To improve the relevant laws and regulations, and create the harmonious atmosphere for labor relations.
